Terrorism

Tactic use of violence (sabotage, assassinations, killings, kidnappings, hostage-taking) for political purposes, to destabilize and massive strike public opinion and the States concerned. Terrorism can be done by individuals or non-state groups in struggle against a political regime, but also constitute a form of government by terror, It is then a question of State Terrorism. Any attempt to define terrorism invariably raises debates because it raises the question of legitimate violence and the right to resistance on the one hand, and the illegitimacy of state violence on the other. The term ”  terrorist  ” used by states, institutions or political parties is highly pejorative, and always contested by those it designates as well as (or individuals) enemy groups.
